The Panthers were a strong force during the nine-a-side tournament, winning their way through to the finals, but ultimately going down to the powerhouse Moruya Sharks.
The Panthers went into the semi-finals of the regular reserve grade series that year, before taking out the premiership the following year against the Eden Tigers.
The Bay Tigers also featured in the 2014 Nines before their official return to Group 16 in 2016.
Eight men’s and eight ladies teams will contest the Nines series this year to be held in Moruya on Saturday.
