Seniors on SUPs
Seniors with a sense of fun and adventure are invited to head on down to Spencer Park, Merimbula this Saturday to kick of Senior’s Week in style. There will be free Stand Up Paddleboard lessons and boards for people to try out. The event will kick off on Saturday, March 4 at 9am at Spencer Park, Merimbula and will include a free barbecue breakfast for anyone over 60 thanks to Pambula Rotary. Bookings are essential on 6495 1129.

Workshop
The Eden Community Access Centre is hosting a free creative writer’s workshop to celebrate Seniors Week on Tuesday, March 7 from 10am-12.30pm at the Eden library. Local author Diana Harley will help you to tap into your writing potential. No need to be experienced just come along and have some fun! The theme is “Let’s do more together”. Refreshments provided. Parkinson group
The Bega Valley Parkinson Support Group held their first meeting for 2017 on February 6 at the Bega Golf Club. The 32 members who attended the meeting asked many questions about problems they were having with their Parkinson's. The next meeting will be on March 13 with Paul Ledger as guest speaker.

Friday morning on Sapphire FM 97.5 will begin with the usual fun at 8.30 with Gav and Col. Then at 9 Colin has a chat with John Hanley about Seniors Chatterbox. Michelle Arrowsmith, the Executive Director of Clinical Operations for the Southern NSW Local Health Board joins Colin at 10 to discuss the new SERH. Then at 11 Malcolm Brandon, Pambula Rotarian's multilingual 'quiet man', will talk about his career as a Russian interpreter.
