Ms Lott, who runs Eden’s Sprout cafe, said her initial reaction on being asked to be the guest speaker at the event was ‘absolutely not’, but she decided to be ‘bold’ and embrace the chance.
The theme of IWD 2017 is ‘Be Bold For Change’.
Her experiences had taught her to ‘plough on’ and ‘get back into life’, she said.
International Women’s Day will be celebrated around the world on Wednesday, March 8, but with the Pacific Jewel cruise ship scheduled to arrive in Twofold Bay on that date, it was decided the bring forward Eden’s event to Tuesday, March 7.
