An unforgettable Saturday afternoon jam session.
That's what happened when Braidwood musician and producer Tim Godwin was on a camping holiday in Eden last weekend.
Godwin, who says he has a passion for playing his drums in "totally random places", set up his kit on Aslings Beach.
"I bought this 1967 drum kit for not much money and did it up," he said. "It sounds beautiful."
"Whenever I go somewhere I chuck it in the car and take it with me."
About 20 people stopped to listen to him playing on Aslings Beach.
Three Danish backpackers were among the gathering, one of whom had a ukulele, and joined in for an impromptu jam session.
"At first he offered to give me some money but I wasn't busking, I just enjoy playing my drums in totally random places," Godwin said.
On Sunday, Godwin ventured to Green Cape Lighthouse with his drums, with the rugged beach terrain proving more difficult to negotiate.
But the effort was well worth it, with the lighthouse making the perfect backdrop for a music video he will use with Sydney artist JonVal's track 'Lifeguard' from his upcoming debut album 'Square One'.
Godwin, whose "day job" is nursing, works with bands and artists from Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra as well as overseas, including Faraway Towns, Cheeky Violets, Social Norm, Symptoms Persist and Freddie McLennan.
