Around one year ago eight-year-old Taylah Klemm and a group of her friends started the local charity Environmental and Animal Savers (EAS). The Lumen Christi Year 3 pupil and her EAS team has now raised more than $1,000 for local wildlife.
Their latest project involved donating $600 to the Merimbula Wharf and Aquarium in association with WIRES to assist a rescued Turtle named Opal. The funds were recently raised by hosting market stalls and chocolate drives.
Any kids wanting to get involved with the enthusiastic group can visit the Environmental and Animal Savers Facebook or email envanisav@gmail.com.
