Rotary at Boydtown

Do you enjoy fine food and a dynamic guest speaker? The Rotary Club of Pambula cordially invites you to attend lunch at the Seahorse Inn, Princes Highway, Boydtown on Saturday November 26 at 12.30pm. The Guest Speaker is Dr Sarah Jarvis, granddaughter of well-known local identity Murray Jarvis. Sarah works as an epidemiologist at the Centre for Population Health at the Burnet Institute in Melbourne. She works as part of an Infectious Disease Modelling Group, which works to advise in the best allocation of resources for halting epidemics. Sarah’s background is in computational modelling, and she has previously worked in neuroscience and as a biomedical engineer. She now works in the areas of tuberculosis, malaria and neglected tropical diseases. Along with Sarah’s presentation, there will be an opportunity to find out what projects Pambula Rotary is undertaking in the local community.
