An Eden man has been charged for repeatedly driving his car into his victim’s vehicle as he chased her on the Princes Hwy.

Police documents state on September 25, Lee Anthony Butler drove to a house in Eden where his victim, who had been in a relationship with him, was visiting a friend.
When the woman left the house and drove away, the 39-year-old followed her and used his car to repeatedly ram the back of her car.
As she was approaching her parent’s house, she called her father and said “help Dad, he is going to kill me”.
When they arrived at the house, Butler threw her to the ground, stole her phone and drove away. He later called her father and said “I’m not going to jail, if you call the police I will kill you”.
Appearing over audio visual link at Bega Local Court on October 25, Butler pleaded guilty to charges that included common assault, stalking and intimidation as well as predatory driving.
He was sentenced to 15 months jail, but on March 11 next year will be eligible for release on parole.
