Nippers starts off the surf season

Junior lifesavers start their season this weekend with registration at Pamula Surf Life Saving Club from 10am.

After signing up, Nippers will head to Sapphire Aquatic Centre to undertake their Introductory Swim.

Nippers president, Andrew Holt, is looking forward to an exciting season on the beach with a number of new families already signing up.

Nippers caters for children five to 14 and is run must Sunday mornings during summer.

Existing members are encouraged to renew online to allow registrars to process new memberships on Sunday.

Surf Boat captain, Chris Briggs, is looking for interested persons who want to have a social row on Friday afternoons. The sessions will kick off around 5pm when adequate numbers show interest. Call Chris on 0427646550 to register your interest.

Members interested in power craft operations can attend a Inflatable Rescue Boat course starting 4 December with Gavin and Kerryn Granger. Register with Kerryn on 0402201152.

Don Hay will be running a RWC (jet ski) course during November and would like to hear from members interested in obtaining their operations qualifications. Contact him on 0427956674.

Surf patrols will begin on 30 November. Club Captain Ann Smith will be sending out rosters soon so check to see when your patrols are on.
