The Open Gardens of Eden exhibition, which will take place on Saturday, October 22 and Sunday, October 23, between 10am and 4pm, is an annual event presented by Eden Lionesses.
Money raised from the event is used to support the festival as well as key Lioness projects such as the Snowy Hydro Careflight helicopter, Bega Hospital Carers’ Accommodation and local families in need.
Vicki Telfer’s four-year-old garden in Lakeside Drive, Eden, was designed by a Victorian landscaper who specialises in native plants.
The design for the back yard alleviated the need to mow lawns; a dry creek bed fills when it rains and native plants provide a haven for birds.
Exotic plants feature in the front garden.
Tickets, which cost $10, will be available from the Eden Lioness tent on the Princes Highway, opposite Eden Gateway Holiday Park.
