The Open Day will be held from 10am to 2pm in parkland behind the library, and Eden library customer information officer Kate Liston said it will be whole lot of “family fun”.
“ESSCI will be providing a sausage sizzle, and storytime and craft wil be on at the library at 10.30am,” Ms Liston said on Monday.
“Dream It, Be It face-painting and balloon sculpting will be from 10.30am to 12.30pm, and there will be guessing competitions to win IMB vouchers and many other assorted treats donated by Coles supermarket.”
Ms Liston said the Eden Public School P & C will hold a cake stall, and Eden’s Rusty Plough cafe will have a coffee van on stand-by for caffeine lovers.
The doors will be open to the library, Access Centre and Visitor Information Centre, with staff at hand to chat to community about services, open up new memberships, and answer questions about the programs offered.
The event will coincide with the Celebrate Life in Eden initiative running in parkland behind the library (see page 3) with a Hip Hop dance workshop run by Fun Factory’s Cayce Hill, jumping castles, information by health and welfare officers, and a Koori dance troupe.
