Terry Gordon’s versatility as a balladeer, songwriter and comedy performer has established him as one of Australia’s most popular country music entertainers.

Born in the small town of Taralga near Goulburn,  the Terry Gordon story began at age five when his dad took him to see the Tex Morton Wild West Show which passed through the town.

It was enough to set the wild-eyed youngster on a determined, unswerving ambition to become a country music star.  

By age 16, he was already playing guitar in a band and in his early 20s, he was a solo performer on the Sydney club circuit. Since beginning his recording career, he has released more than 25 CDs.

Terry learned his stage craft touring with the Seekers, Tom T Hall, Slim Dusty, Col Elliott, Normie Rowe, Jade Hurley and Wally the Worker to name just some. His TV experience extends from Bandstand, Six O’clock Rock through to morning/midday shows, late night variety programs and his own nightly television show out of Tamworth “Must Be Country”.

Terry was awarded Country Music Entertainer Of The Year in 1995 and in 2002 given Australia’s Living Legend Award. In 2005 he received an OAM for services to the entertainment industry and in 2012 he was awarded the Entertainers Roll of Renown.

Terry is joined by Owen Blundell who has toured for more than 30 years performing in many shows over the years from the Opera House to a tin shed in the Kimberleys to take his music to wherever he is needed.  

Owen encompasses not only Australian, but all styles of music for all occasions from bush ballad, comedy, right through to country rock and old time rock and roll.

He has appeared on the Ray Martin Show, 60 Minutes, That’s Country Today and various other TV shows and has released 19 CDs and 6 DVDs over his 34 year career.

Owen has developed into an all round entertainer and part of his show are the impersonations of many well known artists. The most popular of these being Frank J Spencer.

Described by many as the funniest and most energetic comedy act to come along in years, he is a singer, songwriter, comedian, and award winning vocalist.

Terry Gordon and Owen Blundell will be performing at Wolumla Hall on Saturday, September 17 at 7pm. Tickets are $20 at the door with supper provided.
