With every delicate and powerful stroke of the bow, every careful strum on the mandolin and every electrifying note on the harmonica, you clearly see the emotion and the passion Justin Brady feels. This is equalled by the brilliance and adaptability of the rhythmic faultless drumming of Phil Collings.
Justin’s reputation precedes him as an electrifying harmonica player as he seems about to burst with the energy and verve he emits as he draws the most guttural sounds from his instrument.
The incredibly brilliant duo delivered a lengthy varied repertoire of raw heart-pumping blues, traditional irish ballads and jigs, haunting middle eastern rhythms and original compositions.
The show was hosted by the Nethercote Music Factory who would like to thank the audience which was suitably captivated by the virtuosic delivery of this outstanding duo and I urge others to take up the opportunity to attend local hall concerts to experience traditional community hospitality and the extraordinary talent and variety of entertainment which we are fortunate enough to attract.

Fruit Fly Fighters
As many of you know, Bega Valley Seed Savers par for the product we put on our bait cars. They will fund the 2016-2017 season but we will need to finance the future seasons.
Seed savers may arrange bulk orders to keep costs down and various baiting groups (districts, towns and villages) arrange payment and pick up from a central depot.
All of this above needs local workers input from the fighters. Volunteers are needed to help and to encourage more households to join us.
As stated in last week’s Magnet, bait cards will be available from the Eden Community Access Centre, next door to the Library on Tuesdays from 9am-4pm.
September 6 is the first pick up.
Discussions with others involved from other centres suggests that the campaign is working but that the more households and fruit gardens involved the better it works.
Computer Courses
The Eden Community Access Centre offers a range of Computer Training programs if you need help with iPad, email, Internet, word documents, Facebook, Photos, etc.
The Eden Community Access Centre can provide you with one-on-one assistance, small group sessions and follow up support. For details call 6496 3970 or email accesscentre@eden.nsw.au.
DAFFODIL DAY
As of Friday, August 26, Robyn Whitby has officially organised and run the Pambula Daffodil Day fundraisers for 20 straight years.
Each year has had its ups and downs but Ms Whitby said she wouldn’t change it for the world.
“We all know cancer in itself is affecting more and more people each year and supporting Daffodil Day is one of the things people can do to feel like they are making a difference, whether it be volunteering, buying a daffodil or donating money to local community always gets behind the day.”
After being a Daffodil Day volunteer for a couple of years, in 1996 Ms Whitby was asked to take on the role of organising the Pambula stall.
Back in 1996, Ms Whitby only organised the Pambula main street stall but over the years this has grown and this year she was the organiser of the Pambula main street, the Tura Beach, the Pambula Beach and the Pambula Public School stalls which raised more than $4,000.
With 20 years under her belt, Ms Whitby is showing no signs of stopping.
“I want to thank all the volunteers past, present and future.”
