The corporation is celebrating 100 years of forestry and as part of this milestone it is offering a first prize of $3000 for the best entry that showcases and celebrates the rich history of forestry on the Far South Coast.
The acquisition of the winning artwork will remain the property of the Forestry Corporation which will then donate it to the Bega Valley Shire Council for public display.
There is second prize of $750 and also a $250 prize for the best school/TAFE (under 18) entry.
Forestry Corporation coordinator Brendan Grimson said the corporation was proud to once again be associated with the festival.
Mr Grimson said it was a great way to celebrate the history of Eden and its surrounding areas, as well as its links to the forest industry that were ongoing today.
Festival Committee spokesman Jim Chenhall encouraged woodworkers to get busy making something that would showcase this rich history that Eden has had with the timber industry.
