Bega Valley Shire Council is calling for nominations from the community to join the 18 hall committees and 10 sportsground management committees across the shire, each with up to 12 community representatives potentially taking up a position at each site.

Council’s leisure and recreation co-ordinator, Justin Welsford, said there were exciting times ahead in regards to the shire’s sporting facilities, with the recent adoption of master plans for the Bega and Pambula Sporting Complexes, the development of Facility Management Plans for each site, and oval renovation work planned.
Nominations for the committees close September 9, with the forms available from council's website www.begavalley.nsw.gov.au or council’s Bega office.
