Rob at the Narooma Ocean Hut Compleat Angler said those fishing Wagonga Inlet were doing best early before 7am. Also look for birds working to find fish. On the beaches, one angler had a great session at Island View beach catching salmon after salmon on lures. Reports have been mixed from beaches to the north. Out wide, things have been quiet everyone struggling to find the normally abundant sand flathead. There however plenty of crayfish about for the divers.

Charter skipper Nick Cowley had a good day on the water Friday despite some challenging conditions with plenty of wind rain and swell. They managed to find a good patch of albacore on the cube getting some nice fish on jigs and livies, also landed a nice mako shark around 100kgs that swam up the cube trail. Saturday saw a nice little mako shark and around 25 snapper.
Graham at Tackleworld Moruya reports that bream are hanging around the boulders behind Moruya Hospital so try drifting some lightly weighted prawns or nippers. Also the odd flathead starting to show up. Blackfish are still in abundant. At Tuross, Graham says bream and perch are being caught around Four Ways flicking little hard bodies around the snags. Just don't keep the perch as it's still closed season. Flathead are on the chew in the shallows down near the entrance and further over towards Potato Point using soft plastics.
And on the rocks and beaches, salmon and tailor are still coming in off the Moruya breakwall with the odd bonito as well. Coila Beach is seeing good numbers of salmon and tailor with some bream getting in amongst them, try using beach worms. Offshore, albacore and yellowfin tuna are hanging around out wide trolling diving lures around the 60 to 70km out seems to be the way to go.

Overall winner for the month was Mick Uglystick with Mick Kavic, Bec Smart, Bridget Smart, Peter Shakeshaft, Randall Setzer, Shorty Smart, Brenda Setzer, Greg Tiffen, Leanna Turnbull and Will Tiffen all getting a voucher this month.
The crew that went and fished the island on Narooma Charters reported the water temp at 18 and running hard from the north with plenty of mowies and snapper on the bite but the flathead fishing was very poor. The beach and rock anglers reported there are a few fish around while I heard that Johno Bettini did very well in the river on Friday just fishing under the huge school of fish that have been living in Forsters Bay.
The club also held its AGM on Sunday with a few new faces putting their hands up. Gary Landells retired from the committee after something like 38 years with various positions held, so a big thanks to you Gazza. News like this will bring a tear to Dee’s eyes.
The new committee for this season is Dave Clark president, Peter Shakeshaft VP, Brenda Setzer treasurer, Greg Tiffen weighmaster, Randall Setzer secretary, Bec Smart assistant secretary, Karon Clark catering and Dave Clark publicity with Mick Kavic, Garry Blood, Wayne Giffen, Adam Giffen and Shorty Smart new committee members
