The annual challenge for the Gabo Cup against Mallacoota club was contested on Saturday at the Eden golf course with 66 players in attendance.

Playing off the blue markers in a stableford format, the visitors defeated the hosts very narrowly to retain the cup they won at Mallacoota last year.
Division one winner was Gerrard Kelly, who carded a steady round of 38 points from runner-up Tony Rogers on 37.
The round of the day was recorded by division two winner Colin Clark, who amassed 39 points and he received a reduction of one shot off his handicap of 22. The runner-up was Peter Cranston, who fired an excellent round of 36 off his 23 handicap.
Saturday members will greet the starter for the July monthly medal. Well done to 10 year old junior member Morgan Thornton who won the Tuesday competition recently with an excellent round of 41 points. Happy birthday to him for Tuesday.
The clubs most capped player is leaving the area and the club said Andrew Collins will be a great loss to the golfing fraternity, and everyone wishes him well.
