Jointly funded by the Australian Government, NSW Government and the Bega Valley Shire Council, the Eden Breakwater Extension project is now large enough to accommodate cruise ships larger than 300 metres in length.
The Breakwater Wharf project is managed by the Department of Primary Industries. The project control group is working closely with Bega Valley Shire Council., Destination NSW, Cruise Eden, Carnival Australia, Sapphire Coast Tourism and others to ensure the project is a success. Sapphire Coast Business Women
Sapphire Coast Business Women in conjunction with Our Merimbula Chamber of Commerce are running a Business Master Class Series which will be open to all local business men and women.
Prices start at as little as $20 a session, with eight sessions running from Monday, July 4 until Monday, October 10. All classes will take place at the Regional Learning Centre in Merimbula and will run from 9am until midday.

SecondBite
Eden residents can help provide meals to families doing it tough by joining local efforts to raise funds for national charity, SecondBite.
Between June 29 and August 2, Coles at Eden will raise money for SecondBite. As part of the five-week campaign, Eden residents can buy a $2 SecondBite donation card at Coles to help to deliver the equivalent of five healthy meals to Australian families doing it tough. SecondBite redistributes surplus fresh food to families in need.

Winter Book Fair
The Rotary Club of Bega is holding its annual Winter Book Fair at the Bega Showground on July 8-10. Friday and Saturday 9am to 5pm, Sunday 9am to 1pm.
