The draft plan and associated technical review proposed a range of control methods to reduce the population from the estimated 6000 down to 600 over the next 20 years.
President of the Snowy Mountains Brumby Sustainability & Management Group, Alan Lanyon said there were a number of speakers attending the meeting.
NSW Animal Justice Party MP Mark Pearson MLC will be accompanied by Animal Justice Party candidate for Eden Monaro Mc Frankie Seymour.
“Reading the report, the question has to be asked as to what the proposed slaughter is actually setting out to achieve other than bloodshed,” Mr Pearson said.
Also travelling from South Australia is Environmental Scientist Karen Summers who will speak about general brumby issues along with environmental and population science aspects.
Mr Lanyon said that the audience has the right to listen to different perspectives.
“There will be a number of resolutions put forward for attendees to vote on.
“We will be engaging in conversation and recording some of the remarks which we will include in the final submission,” he said.
The meeting is at 2pm at the Lake Jindabyne Hotel tomorrow. All interested people are invited to attend.
