As a major event on the golfing calendar, organisers said it was a success for the course, but also praised local venues including a dinner and entertainment held at the Eden Fishermen’s Club.
With plenty of interest from visiting golfers there were some standout winners visiting from up the coast.
Tura Beach golfer Casey Cook was crowned the Open winner, while Narooma’s Sylvia Donohoe has been a long standing winner for a number of years was high in the ranks.
But not to be outdone, Eden’s Maree Rankin also topped the fields.
Rankin had an absolutely outstanding tournament winning the division two 18 hole gross on Wednesday and Thursday, The Pickering Redmond Salver for division two, 36 hole gross, The Enid Jeffrey Cup for the closed 36 hole gross and the WGNSW Golden Jubilee Division 1 closed 36 hole nett scores.
Rankin then combined with Oriana Russell on Friday in the Foursomes and they were the division two 18 hole nett winners.
To top off her week, Rankin hit a hole-in-one on the 18th during the match.
Rankin continued her winning ways to claim the monthly medal on Saturday and has taken 2.6 strokes off her handicap in the last three weeks.
Another performer was the Eden club’s Canadian Import, Cathi Bowd, who won Thursday’s division three 18 hole gross, MrsMarie Buckland Trophy for the closed 36 hole gross, and the 36 hole gross trophy.
