Not a fan. Less parking. People walk over garden beds. Stonework next to brick beds wasn't thought through and looks ugly. Money should have been spent on Coles entrance and parking - so dangerous.

Jana, there was a lot of thought put into every aspect, 10 years worth in fact. With lots of consultation, and many local people involved (maybe you were not aware of the meetings? You could have come along and given your view). As for Coles car park, ratepayers money will not be used to fix a private commercial enterprise’s development problem.

Wish someone would take down the old pub signs, nearly every time I walk past some tourist is looking and trying to get in. At least put up a closed sign! Love the Main Street look.

I agree. Have been saying for years that the big green Thirsty Camel is not the welcoming mat to be rolled out for visitors. It's ugly. But then again so is the dilapidated old eyesore building. The sooner it either gets pulled down or repurposed the better.
Tamsin Webber
As a visitor it's heaps better looking than before, can't wait to see it finished.

RESCUE HOAX
Idiots need to be caught and fined double the cost of the helicopter. He or she who cries wolf may be ignored next time.

PLASTIC-FREE EDEN?
Just do it! People soon get the idea, if they haven't got reusable bags offer the good old paper bags or boxes for a donation to a local organisation.
Jenni Hounsell
No, with the exception of supermarket shopping it's a nuisance carrying bundles of empty bags around, especially if you end up not buying anything. Plus if you use a walking stick you're already one hand down!
