Eden Tigers’ dominance of the Group 16 Minor Rugby League under 11s and 12s competitions continued with respective wins in the grand finals at the Bega Recreation Ground on Saturday. Big things were expected of both teams and they delivered in the best possible way, defeating Moruya Tuross Sharks 12-6 in the under 11s and again the cubs proved too good for the Sharks taking the under 12s decider 18-12.
It was a fantastic result for the Tiger cubs.
After trying for 17 years to win an under 11 title, the club has now won two consecutive premierships in that grade, while the under 12s also bagged consecutive premierships, this time going through undefeated. Turn to page 49 for full reports.
