The Bluedogs had a rough start to the outing before a middle order stand built up a solid innings.
Wheeler crippled the run rate from the openers when he dismissed Dylan Cook for a duck.
Just a few overs later Joe Maloney fell to the same fate, before Tom Hammond was declared lbw after scoring 12 runs.
Kieran Allan and Jake Taylor made a strong stand in the middle of the order to get Pambula back on track and the home team put on a respectable total of 157.
The skipper claimed four wickets in total to slow the Bluedogs progress and then went on to a fantastic partnership with the bat to lead his side home.
When opener Drew Mudaliar was returned to the sheds for a duck it could have been anyone’s game, but the Eden side rallied and Andrew Evelyn joined with Wheeler at the crease.
The duo set to work and had put on a century between them before the bails fell.
After Evelyn was dismissed young star Patrick Kearney added 29 runs to the tally which was enough to put Eden over the line at 4/161.
This weekend sees the Eden side at home to play the Tathra Sea Eagles.
The match will run on Saturday from 1pm.
