Eden boasted a strong season in the women’s contest, but was unfortunately knocked out of contention with Merimbula and Tura Beach contesting the final.
Meanwhile, in the Men’s contest it proved an all-Merimbula finish after knocking out a third Merimbula team and the Tathra roster in the semi-finals.
The Drakes won the men’s, while Merimbula edged Tura for the ladies crown.
Organiser Michael Wilks said the three-discipline event was quickly becoming the coast’s premier event as a shorter format proved popular with players and spectators alike.
Teams compete in singles, pairs and triples.
In it’s fourth year the competition attracted more than 100 entries and provided spectators a fantastic spectacle.
Plans are already underway for next year’s event and Wilks said the opening rounds could be the first major event hosted in Club Sapphire’s new bowling facility.
