Compiled by tour and attractions provider Experience Oz, the Ultimate Bucket List highlights the state's best experiences.
The Killer Whale Museum was listed due to its being “home to thousands of artifacts related to whale and maritime-related factoids” as well as being “an extremely well-curated exhibition highlighted by the signature remains of killer whale Old Tom”.
President of the Killer Whale Museum managing committee, Jack Dickenson said he was chuffed that the museum made the cut.
“This is great news for the museum and great for the town. We work hard to preserve the history of the town so it’s nice to be recognised.”
At 81 the museum was the highest ranking experience on the Far South Coast, with Tathra at 89 and the Merimbula Marina at 94.
Compiled from customer feedback, staff input and database polling, the bucket list covers experiences in larger urban centres and hidden gems in regional NSW.
