The high-profile ex-NSW and Kangaroos star also has a passion for cars and motorbikes.
He was previously involved in the Hogs for the Homeless Harley Davidson charity ride.
So it was a joy for Cooper to meet Bega Roosters under 16s coach Jason Whitby, who shares a love of motorbikes.
The sand drags bike is entirely custom built by Whitby and his friends.
Cooper said he was astounded to hear the bike was custom built and was impressed with its look, sound and horsepower.
Whitby had to put the bike on hold while undergoing intensive treatment for cancer in Canberra for some time, but was proud to exhibit at the Pambula Motorfest and bike show.
“It’s great to see how much excitement there was about the bike over the weekend,” Whitby said.
Cooper wished Whitby well with his treatment and hoped the pair could catch up again for a ride soon.
