However I guess we should always search for a silver lining in any dark cloud.
It is sometimes argued, our planet is over-populated.
If this is the case then same sex physical intercourse, albeit an unnatural act could be seen as a natural means of birth control.
In any scenario, however, there is generally a down side.
If this type of birth control is as prevalent in the animal and insect world as David O'Connor would have us believe then perhaps the extinction of the said species would ultimately catastrophically be assured.
I am always intrigued by the fact, whilst homosexuals shun making love to the opposite sex yet at the same time they readily accept the fact, due to the dictates of nature, have to rely on the same to produce children.
With the exception of some adopted children surely such children conceived under these business-like arrangements are denied the right to begin life as the result of deeply felt love between heterosexual couples.
