Presentation caps off great year

Eden Soccer Club capped off a successful 2012 Far South Coast Football Association season with its presentation day last Sunday.

Players, family and supporters converged on the Eden Killer Whale soccer ground for a day of fun, which included a barbecue and the ever important trophy presentations.

Club president Mick Sawers said it was the best turnout he had seen in years.

“It was a great day and everyone enjoyed themselves. It was the most parents and kids I’ve seen for a few years, it was a great turnout,” he said.

“There wasn’t a better way to cap off a great year for the club, and to see all the smiles on the kids’ faces definitely makes all the hard work through the year worth it. “The club would like to thank everyone for their work throughout the year, including the players and parents.

“We look forward to seeing everyone next year.”

The ‘Peters Family Trophy’ for junior club person of the year award was won by Brendan Winnel, while the senior club person of the year trophy was awarded to tireless club president Mick Sawers.
