This brings the total amount raised to help Emily, who will undergo a kidney transplant in Sydney's Royal Prince Alfred hospital on August 18, and Krista, who is donating her kidney, to an astounding $14,597.60
Emily, 22, was diagnosed with kidney dysplasia when she was a child and advised she would require a kidney transplant when she was older.
After extensive testing, it was mother-of-two Krista who was found to be a match.
Money raised will help meet the cost of getting Emily and Krista to Sydney, their accommodation and living expenses, pharmaceuticals, plus ongoing mortgage and rent bills.
"The auction raised $8209.40, and our Friday raffle $855, currently in the bank we have $5533.20, so we have raised a total of $14597.60 so far
with funds still dribbling in," fundraising committee spokeswoman Jasmine Davis said on Monday.
"Our last fundraiser will be a street stall on Friday at 10am so come along for some sweet treats," she said.
Ms Davis thanked the Eden Tigers Football Club for their donation from Saturday's game.
She also said a "big thank you" to Leigh Hennessey at the Great Southern Inn, for the inn's hospitality, including the use of the restaurant for the auction and providing the hot nibbles.
"To our auctioneer Rosscoe Hartley and offsider Joe Ramsey, you guys did an awesome job," Ms Davis said.
"I was overwhelmed with the amount of support that was shown at the auction, and the number of people who came.
"I had been panicking all night because the Eden Tigers were playing at home in a semi final, but I didn’t have to stress at all," she said.
Ms Davis also thanked Paul McFairlane for providing the music, Coles for the cold platters and raffle prizes, and Hooked on Seafood for the hampers that they donated for the weekly raffles.
Thanks were also expressed to the Eden Fishermen's Recreation Club for their generous donation of a variety of wines that were auctioned, Michelins for the wood donation for the raffle and Val Bobbins for helping at the street stalls - even on cold mornings.
"A big shout out to my fellow fundraisers Jenny Grant, Genevieve McGuiness, Barbara Mann, Leanne Daly - without your help this would not of been possible.
"From the bottom of my heart I thank you all, I wouldn’t want to live in any other town.
A LETTER TO THE EDEN COMMUNITY
I write in response to the Orange and Black Kidney Fundraiser held on Saturday at the Great Southern Inn.
I'd like to thank everyone who contributed and supported my family in some way, either financially or emotionally.
I feel proud to come from such a wonderful town that defines the term community.
A community to me is a place of comfort, familiarity and togetherness.
On the weekend I witnessed all these qualities.
The support from my community is making a difficult journey easier financially and emotionally.
I cannot express how I feel but I just want everyone to know that when you are in a time of need ... please ask, ask for help, don’t do it alone.
I hope one day I will be able to repay the favour to our community.
I'd especially like to thank Lee and Miriam from the Great Southern Inn, you guys are a true asset to Eden.
Jasmine Davis, Jenny Grant, Leanne Daly, Genevieve McGuiness, Jenny Grant, Sharen Kelly, Robin Wykes and Joyanne McGovern - Thank you.
