The public meetings will be held to update the Eden community on the $1.3 million facelift for the town’s commercial district.
People interested in the major project and how the works may affect the local area are encouraged to attend.
Project Manager, Andrew Stewart said that the contractor, Guideline South Coast Pty Ltd, will keep the community informed of how works are progressing and of any potential impacts to local businesses.
He said that all local businesses in the works zone had been informed of the regular meetings.
“We are hopeful that the meetings will be well attended as the community follows progress of the CBD upgrade,” he said.
Guideline South Coast Pty Ltd is contracted to finalise works on Imlay Street by early November to allow for the busy summer season ahead.
Regular reminders of the Thursday morning meetings will be posted on Council’s Facebook page.
The meetings will be held in the vacant shop next to the Eden newsagency.
