But before the young women undergo the life-saving surgery in Royal Prince Alfred (RPA) in Sydney on August 18, they need the Eden community's help.
An auction fundraiser will be held at 2.30pm on August 1 at the Great Southern Inn, and everyone is invited to attend.
Money raised from the event will help meet the cost of getting Emily and Krista to Sydney, their accommodation and living expenses, pharmaceuticals, plus ongoing mortgage and rent bills.
Emily, 22, was diagnosed with kidney dysplasia when she was a child and advised she would require a kidney transplant when she was older.
After extensive testing, it was mother-of-two Krista who was found to be a match.
The fundraiser will feature live music by Paul MacFairlane of Nemesis.
Nibbles are being donated by the inn's publican Leigh Hennessey.
The town’s shops and its people have been generous in donating items and vouchers to be auctioned.
Donations can still be lodged by phoning Jasmine Davis on 0439 171 381.
Gold coin donation on entry entitles guests to an orange and black ribbon.
Cash donations can also be made at the IMB - BSB 641-800, account 200733198.
