The school's students welcomed visitors at the entrance to the college, then happily escorted their guests around the school where many diverse and entertaining activities were taking place.
Visitors consisted of parents of prospective students, as well as groups of students from local primary schools.
In creative arts, photographs of still life objects covered the walls and art rooms displayed a variety of paintings, sketches and sculptures produced by eager students.
Musicians performed during classes and drama students acted out roles for their visitors.
During the lunch break, hopeful students performed their auditions for the college talent quest, Lumen’s Got Talent, in front of a large and enthusiastic audience.
Design and technology students were able to demonstrate their skills in construction and science students performed a range of experiments.
Lumen’s recently completed primary classrooms were also on public display for the first time.
Interested parents were involved in presentations by the principal, Steve Centra, and senior students outlining the many features of the Lumen community.
The presentation also included a brief video covering various aspects of life at Lumen.
The video, along with many other Lumen productions may be viewed on the Lumen Christi Youtube channel.
