To try to stop the flow of these unwanted kittens, members have been raising funds at local markets so they can offer de-sexing of female cats for only $50 during May.
This is a limited offer available to the most financially disadvantaged in our community.
Applications are available at Bega Valley Shire vets on production of a benefits card.

The price of adult cats is only $50 at the moment, kittens are $200, adult dogs are $350 and pups are $375.
The branch will hold a garage sale at Cobargo showground on May 9 and need your help.
If you have saleable items you no longer need we would love to have them to raise much needed funds.
