Ms Kovacs and Ms Whiffen have both offered their support and mentorship to the girls, who, according to career advisor Michelle Bond, thought it was great.
"They (the girls) are definitely thinking about pursuing careers in trades, especially building, electricity, chef, and mechanics," Ms Bond said.
Ms Bond said that they had more extensive programs that ran last year but due to government funding cuts they had been considerably reduced.
Technology and Applied Studies teacher Kate Mamone also offered herself as a mentor to interested students.
TWG is a community of women and men who offer support and guidance for any female who is involved in a male dominated trade on the South Coast.
These trades include commercial cook, gardener and landscaper, plasterer, electrician, carpenter and joiner, motor mechanic and auto electrician, tiler and boat builder and shipwright.
Less than 17 per cent of commercial cooks on the Far South Coast are women and less than one per cent are motor mechanics.
If you are thinking of joining one of the trades mentioned, TWG have mentors available for you to connect with.
