About 40 ex-students attended but Ms Fairweather was the only Eden resident in attendance.
Ms Fairweather taught at Eden Public School for 27 years and since her retirement has also taken scripture classes there for 14 years.
She has lived in Eden for 43 years and remembers her years at BTC fondly.
At Charles Sturt University (CSU) in Bathurst, there are currently about half a dozen ex-Eden High School students studying for degrees.
In earlier days, CSU was known as Bathurst Teachers’ College (BTC) and many local ex-teachers trained there.
As part of the weekend those in attendance viewed the memorabilia cabinet in the foyer of Heffron House, on the CSU campus.
Associate Professor Jane Mitchell set up the cabinet as an historical tribute and would love to receive additional contributions.
