Eden had just begun its second innings with the bat when rainfall halted play on Saturday, reducing the match to a first innings result.
The home side was cut short in the first innings to post a humble total of 82 last weekend.
The openers were dismissed cheaply, but Luke Timms and Mark Spink backed up with double figures to get Eden on the board.
Corey Spink followed up with 10 runs, but Tim Bowes top scored for the squad on 19 before the tail order collapsed quickly.
As the last set of bails fell, Eden had rounded 82 runs in its first innings.
Tathra’s start didn’t look promising for the visiting side and the match was in the balance at the close of play.
When the match resumed on Saturday, Tathra set about a patient effort at the crease.
It took several overs, but the team, which had started on about 40 crept past Eden’s total.
Peter Bennett top scored for the visitors with 35.
Eden returned to the crease to bat the second innings, but rain was increasing at the ground.
With the home side on 1/22 at the afternoon tea break, umpires cut the game short, giving Tathra the win on first innings points.
Despite the loss, Eden sits in fifth on the ladder with two rounds to play.
Eden will look for redemption against Bega-Angledale on Saturday at Bega’s George Griffin Oval from 1pm.
The final round will be played against the Pambula Bluedogs.
