According to Google, the fashion trend we had the most questions about this year was Normcore.
It makes sense, considering the term only rose to prominence in the last 12 months, and had a lot of us scratching our heads wondering what it was all really about.
"Normcore" was originally used by trend forecasting group KHole to describe the ability to not stand out with lifestyle choices, which included the idea of dressing in nondescript clothing as a way of shunning fashions ever-changing trends.
However once the internet grabbed hold of the idea, with the help of this article by Fiona Duncan for New York Magazine, normcore was placed firmly in the fashion trend category.
The other two of the top three most Googled fashion terms are similarly confusing.
'Athleisure' and 'health goth' either made the top of the list because people wanted to dip their toes in the trend, or simply because they had no idea what they were.
Rounding out the top 10 are, in order: wearables, crop tops, designer collaboration, over-the-knee boots, full skirts, culottes, and mules.
The list came about thanks to a collaboration between Style.com and Google, who also compiled a list of the top 20 most Googled models.
There were a few obvious entrants on the models list, but there was a surprise for No 1 and also an interesting omission.
Despite Kendall Jenner being absolutely everywhere this year, Kim Kardashian's younger sister only made No 2 on the list.
The No 1 spot was actually taken out by Kate Upton – perhaps for her broader appeal to the male audience as well as the female one.
The rest of the top 10 trending models list was a mix of some of the industry's biggest, as well as some relatively new-but-hot names, including Miranda Kerr, Heidi Klum, Gigi Hadid and Jourdan Dunn.
Another surprise on the list was Cara Delevingne's place. The British model fell quite spectacularly from last year's No 1 spot, to number 16.
