Speaking of flying, one lucky gala dinner and presentation night ticket holder will be jetting off on a return trip to either Melbourne or Sydney (from Merimbula), thanks to the awards' newest sponsor, Regional Express Airlines.
The flights, valued at $884, are yet another drawcard, joining the $1000 diamond giveaway from Georgie’s Fine Jewellery.
Along with the great prizes on offer, those in attendance will have the chance to meet and hear from several great speakers, while being the first to know who has picked up awards across each of the six categories.
“It’s fantastic to have REX coming on board to help celebrate and promote our local businesses,” awards night organiser Bronwyn Schmich said.
“They’re giving someone a great opportunity to go on a little getaway to either Sydney or Melbourne without having to worry about the cost of flights.”
REX general manager of network strategy and sales, Warrick Lodge, said the giveaway is part of the airlines ongoing commitment to the region.
“Regional Express is proud to be supporting the Eden Business Awards and REX looks forward to continuing to service the travel needs of the Sapphire Coast with a reliable and sustainable regional air service,” Mr Lodge said.
The winning airfare will be valid until December 6, 2015 – 12 months from the date of issue.
The $1000 diamond giveaway is another glittering attraction at what promises to be an unforgettable night.
““It’s a beautiful round diamond – the most popular shape universally,” Georgie’s Fine Jewellery owner Georgie Staley said.
“With 30 points, it’s a third of a caret in a nice colour and with a nice clarity.
“Georgie’s has been in Eden since 1983, and after going to school here, I’ve always felt a really strong connection with this town.
“I’m very proud to still have a presence here and to still be part of this community.”
