The Djaadjawan Dancers are a dedicated group of Yuin women, who are earning an impressive following across the region and beyond for their traditional dances.
As ‘Dancing from Gadu to Badhu’ shows, they are also talented artisans, and their work will be on display at the Delegate gallery over the summer.
“It’s going to be a big opening,” Bundian Way project officer John Blay said.
“In the meantime, there’s also a fabulous series of paintings at the moment on Yuin themes, by Natalie Bateman, at the gallery.
“Her solo exhibition is receiving rave reviews.
“‘The Yuin In Me' is an impressive collection of works from this talented, professional artist, celebrating family, the sea and connection to country.
“Don't miss it – take a day trip to charming Delegate and soak up some of the high country!
‘The Yuin in Me’ will close on Wednesday, December 4, ahead of the following day’s ‘Dancing from Gadu to Badhu’ exhibition opening.
The official opening will take place at the gallery, located at 66a Bombala Street, Delegate, on Thursday, December 5, from 5.30pm.
