Laser surveying equipment, a trailer, grader, backhoe and skid steer attachments belonging to Council and a contractor, were all taken from the site, 5km along Nethercote Road towards Eden, over the weekend.
Local residents are asked to keep an eye out for the gear and report any information to their local police station, or to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
The stolen trailer’s registration number is X36526.
A 4.5km stretch of Nethercote Road is currently being resurfaced and sealed.
There are lane closures at various intervals, with workers and traffic lights in place to control the flow of traffic.
Workers are currently replacing a section of road near the Broadwater turn-off, with motorists urged to exercise caution in sometimes slippery conditions.
