After successful exhibitions in Batemans Bay, Moruya and Narooma, this will be the final gallery highlighting stunning images of the Far South Coast from Friday, October 24 until Sunday, October 26.
Ken Duncan is Australia's premier landscape photographer and is best known for his stunning array of panoramic landscape images from Australia and around the world.
Mr Duncan’s work has been published in more than 50 books worldwide and he is the recipient of numerous awards for his photographs and many publications.
He is well known as the pioneer of Limited Edition Photographic Art in Australia.
After a visit to New York in the early 1980s, Mr Duncan returned home with a dream to have photography widely accepted as an art form in this country.
The increasing number of Australian photographers now emulating his panoramic style and finding a market for their work is testimony to Mr Duncan's success.
This gallery will feature his stunning images of the Far South Coast that include shots of Glasshouse Rocks, Camel Rock, Corunna Lake and the Bega hinterland.
Local professional photographers Toby Whitelaw, Andrew Carter and Robert Hayson will also have images on display.
Local professional photographer Mr Hayson will have his amazing aerial shots on sale at the exhibition.
The galleries will also feature finalists’ works from the recent Coastal Landscape Photography Competition, that includes categories in the Primary, Secondary and Open sections.
These works are certainly of a high standard and the judges were astonished at the attention to detail.
“This is a real coup for the Far South Coast and all culminates after the [two-day] student workshop and [one-day] open workshop that Ken was kind enough to run,” South Coast Anglican Schools director of development Eddie Bray said.
“These images are a sight to behold and for those who have a keen eye for photography or would just like to peruse the stunning images, they are more than welcome to attend the exhibition at Club Sapphire Merimbula this weekend.”
