Clear the catwalk, Eden!
It’s not Jennifer Hawkins coming to town, but the Eden Killer Whale Museum fashion parade promises to be a cracker all the same.
Fashions from Sapphire Surprises and Tribal Suzani will be on display at the event, which gets underway at the museum at 7pm tonight (Friday).
Entry is $10, with the proceeds going to the wig library at the Bega Oncology Unit.
Whether it's a club or a bat you like to swing, this weekend's a cracker.
GOLF
The Eden Ladies Open is on at the Eden Golf Club this weekend, and it promises to be keenly contested as always.
A Canadian foursomes event gets underway between 10.30am and 11.40am.
Sunday sees a shot gun start at 9am.
Players will be wearing pink for breast cancer awareness.
Meanwhile, the annual 9-day Sapphire Coast Week of Golf tees off on Saturday at the Pambula Merimbula Golf Club.
There are four-ball and individual stableford events, with the week culminating in the 36-hole men's open next weekend.

CRICKET
They didn't get the start they were looking for after losing to the Merimbula Knights last weekend, but Eden's A Grade cricketers are still a force to be reckoned with.
They'll be looking to prove that and kick-start their title defence on Saturday, when they look to thwart the South Eurobodalla Pirates' raid at the Eden cricket ground from 1pm.
Get down to the ground on Barclay Street and cheer the boys on!
The Sapphire Speedway will roar to life this Saturday, with the club’s first race meeting of the year attracting solid entries in a number of divisions and organisers expecting a huge afternoon of lead-footed engine rumbling racing.
The compact legend cars will return, with a field of 20 signed up.
Drivers will take part in three heats, a 35-lap feature event and a top-10 shootout.
Gates open at 2pm, with racing getting underway from 4pm.
Entry is $15, with kids under 14 free.
For the creative types among us, bestselling author Melissa-Jane Pouliot is holding a workshop for the Writers of the Far South Coast in Merimbula on Saturday.
Ms Pouliot, who finished her first book in 18 months while running her own business and raising three kids, will share tips on fast and furious writing.
The workshop runs from 1pm-3pm at Club Sapphire.
Tickets are $10 for members and $15 for non-members.
