Time to turn this school into a playground.
Year 12 students at Eden Marine High School are having the time of their lives on Thursday as they celebrate their last days at school as part of the annual ‘activities day’.
An array of weird and wonderful costumes have turned the school grounds into a sea of colour, with everyone from Darth Vader and his stormtroopers to Mrs Doubtfire and the Wizard of Oz making an appearance.
They definitely haven’t done things by halves.
“They’ve been looking forward to this all year, and it’s their time to shine,” school principal Ian Moorehead said.
“Some of the costumes have been in the works for a good few months.”
Year 12 advisor Corinna Collins said there will be no shortage of fun and games on offer.
“They’ve got a scavenger hunt around the school first up, and then they’ll take on an obstacle course,” she said.
“Later on, there’s the annual Year 12 vs staff touch football match, which is always a lot of fun.
“They’ll all been very well behaved so far and it should be a great day.”
