Darryl Lamb’s unique mix of country and rock ‘n’ roll is on its way to the Eden Fishermen’s Club this Friday night.
Inspired by the golden era of US country artists including Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, Don Gibson and Willie Nelson, Darryl will take to the stage from 7pm.
In a double whammy, the club’s end-of-month raffles will also be held on Friday night.
The curtain may have fallen on the Eden Tigers’ first-grade campaign, but the red-hot reserve grade outfit will look to convert their minor premiership into a grand final berth this Sunday.
It will be no easy feat, with their opposition to be none other than the Candelo-Bemboka Panthers – the only side to have beaten the Tigers in 2014.
It’s a bit of a road trip, but well worth heading to Ack Weyman in Moruya on Sunday, with kick-off at 12.45pm.
The undefeated Pambula Panthers are another sporting team looking to book their place in the biggest game of the year.
Their SCAFL seniors’ squad are set to tackle neighbours, the Merimbula Diggers, with the opening bounce slated for 2.15pm at Pambula Sporting Complex.
It’s also a big day for the club’s under 13s side, who will face the same opposition in the curtain raiser from 11am.
