This Sunday sees the Tigers clash with the Candelo-Bemboka Panthers in the major-semi final.
The two powerhouse clubs of the reserve grade competition are one apiece over the season proper.
Candelo-Bemboka is the only club that has managed a win over Eden this year in the competition, eeking out a narrow 18-14 win in round 13.
However, the earlier clash in round five saw the Tigers dominate the match to win 40-6.
Eden’s line-up for the season is top notch and has made short work of most opposition this year.
The exciting young talent of Morgan Stewart, who is now topping the try-scoring tally for Group 16, has a solid combination of speed and power down the field.
The backs also have plenty of utility through Aaron Aldridge and “Sugar” Shane Mongta.
It will be a challenge for the Panthers to stop the Eden forward pack, which has allowed plenty of room for clever plays out of the back.
The pack includes big man Ben Brumby, captain-coach Alan Aldridge will lead from the centres.
Meanwhile, one of the most dangerous combinations in the league is the Tyrone Thomas duo.
Both Thomas’ are powerful runners.
Panthers head coach Matt Inskip acknowledged the danger of Eden’s combinations.
“They’re strong up front and they have one of the best halves combinations in the league,” Inskip said.
Both squads will be fresh coming off extended breaks and guarantees to be one of the best games of the year.
The match will be played at Ack Weyman Oval, Moruya on Sunday from 12.45pm.
