Bega Valley Shire Council’s aquatic facilities coordinator, Le Webb, said the Eden Pool operating hours last year had required double shifts, which had resulted in high and unsustainable expenses.
“Due to the size of the pool and the lack of visibility of the toddler pool from the kiosk, it is necessary to have two staff members present when both the toddler and main 50 metres pool are open to the public,” Ms Webb said.
“What we will be proposing at next Thursday’s meeting is that the pool be open from 10am-6pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
“[Then there will be] a split shift from 6am-9am, and 3pm-6pm on Tuesday and Thursday; and from 10am-5pm on Saturday and Sunday."
The meeting will begin at 6pm, and tea and coffee will be available provided.
