The occasion came as a complete surprise for Kath, who was overwhelmed after receiving a framed certificate and bouquet of flowers from managing director Con Zurcas and Allan Fraser, founder of the dealership previously known as Fraser Motors.
“It’s been a pleasure to work here with Allan for 25 years, and now with Con for the last 12 months,” Kath said.
“This has all blown me away, and it was a really beautiful thing for them to do.”
Presenting Kath with her certificate, Con paid tribute to her role in helping him transition into Eden.
“For Paula and I to tip our lives upside down and move up here was a big thing,” he said.
“But the one thing that made it easier for us was having Kath here, and doing something for 26 years is a massive achievement in any part of life.”
Allan also thanked Kath, joking that an even bigger achievement was the fact the pair made it through 25 years as colleagues without killing each other.
