Bega Valley Shire Council is calling for expressions of interest from members of the community who wish to become part of its Access Advisory Committee for a two-year term, starting this month.
Expressions of interest close on Friday, July 11.
The committee will consider, discuss and advise Council on specific access issues relating to its assets and services, particularly the development of the Bega Valley Shire Inclusion Plan, relevant Development Applications, and relevant policy, procedures and processes.
“The selection of committee members will be made by Council based on the principles of representing a wide range of community members, and the skills they offer to developing key strategies to improve access across the Shire,” Council’s Acting Group Manager of Community and Relationships, Simon Schweitzer, said.
“Other factors to be taken into account will include a diversity of age, location of residency and cultural background.”
