Each of the school’s 26 students were involved, with those who were unable to run assisting to run the event.
Relieving school principal Louise Hopson said the children were well prepared for the day after weeks of practice.
“We started their training last term, and they’ve been running around the school for 20 minutes each day as part of the daily fitness program,” she said.
“It’s something they definitely look forward to, and it was a mammoth effort from the kids.
“We’d also like to thank all of the families who volunteered.”
The students were split into three age groups for the run, with each group running a different distance course.
They ran 1.8km, 2.2km, and 3km respectively, dependent on their age, while Kindy Start program children had a short run as part of only their second ever day at school.
