Yacht recovery a “good result”

A small yacht broke loose from its moorings in Sunday's wild weather and nearly ran aground on the little beach near Thompson’s point. It went up around 12 noon, and the water police were successful in getting it off (with a lot of help!) by around 3pm. PHOTOS: Julie Fourter.

Eden Water Police coordinator Steven Judd says the recovery of a yacht which ran aground at Snug Cove on Sunday afternoon was “a good result” for the NSW Marine Area Command, with no injuries or damage to other vessels.
