It’s down to the wire for organisers of this year’s 2102 Excellence in Eden Business Awards with the gala presentation night just around the corner (Saturday, August 25).
Tickets to the presentation night, which features a gourmet four-course meal showcasing local produce, beer, wine and soft drink, dancing to Kitty Kat and the Band of Thieves, the opportunity to win your pick of one of three diamonds imported from Antwerp each valued at $1000 (find out how on page 2) from Georgie’s Fine Jewellery, and a gold-medal winning Olympian as guest speaker, are selling fast from the Eden Fishermen’s Recreation Club.
The judging panel will be deliberating this week so all nominees (see pages 2 and 46 for the full list of nominees) need to be on their toes.
The club will be transformed once again into a glittering stage from which the gold and silver medallists will be announced.
The gold-medal-winning guest speaker has just returned from the London Olympics and a commentary stint, ready to wow the audience and the Master of Ceremonies is fine tuning his best Billy Crystal gags to keep the ball rolling, and the audience on its toes, on the night.
There will be surprises, shock announcements and more at this night of nights.
